Electrochemiluminescence Determination of Dopamine Using Luminol Functionalized Gold Nanoparticles Modified Gold Electrode

    • Using the Au-electrode modified with luminol functionalized gold nanoparticles, a novel electrochemiluminescent sensor (ECLS) was prepared, and its ECL behavior was studied. As shown by the experimental results, excellent ECL performance was displayed by the modified electrode, and when the novel ECLS was used in a 0.02 mol·L-1 Na2CO3-NaHCO3 buffer solution (pH 10.0) containing 1.0×10-3mol·L-1 H2O2, linear relationship between values of ECL intensity and logarithm of concentration of dopamine was obtained in the range of 1.0×10-10-1.0×10-5mol·L-1 of dopamine, with detection limit (3σ) of 6.3×10-11mol·L-1. Based on these facts, the ECLS was used in the determination of dopamine in urine samples, and recovery of the method was tested, giving average recovery of 103%.
